Networks
We use and develop several network tools to understand ecological interactions.
Chemical analyses
We're equipped with a Shimadzu QP2010 Ultra GC/MS and two Agilent 1100 Series HPLC.
Ecophysiology
We measure respiration and water loss of insects with high precision.
Morphology
We're equipped with a Keyence VHX-5000 digital mircroscope and measure high-resolution 3D-tomographies at the ESRF and ANKA.
Field work
Many of our projects include intense field work. We study species responses to environmental variation and land use. Morover, we have installed common garden experiments as a reserach platform to study intraspecific variation in plants and their interaction partners.
